IKAR Emergency Rope Evacuation / Escape System tested and certified to the appropriate European Standards including EN341 Class A

The IKAR “ROPEVAC” emergency rope evacuation system – self rescue has been specifically created to provide a fast and effective means of emergency rope evacuation from “man-up” fork lift trucks and order pickers.

The system is also suitable for self-evacuation from other types of elevated work stations, or to lower a casualty from an elevated work station.

The kit contains:

• Anthron DSD 30+25 Descent Device (EN341 Class A, EN12841 Class B)
• 15 metres of 11mm kernmantle rope, c/w small aluminium captive-eye double action hook (EN1891, EN362)
• 2-point fall arrest safety harness (EN361)
• Small aluminium screw-gate karabiner (EN362)
• Heavy duty PVC zip-top bag (with “Inspection” seal)
• Laminate “Evacuation guide” (sleeved on front of bag)

 The ROPEVAC system is based on industrial abseiling principles and incorporates a rope descender device – the Anthron DSD 30+25. Descent is achieved by applying gentle pressure to the handle – therefore relieving some of the friction applied to the rope. Too much or too little pressure will activate one of two “anti-panic” jamming positions, consequently bringing the operator to a stop. To put it another way:

Panic, and squeeze too hard.......YOU STOP!

Panic, and let go completely....... YOU STOP!

The anti-panic feature affords greater protection for users, significantly increasing confidence within the beginner or occasional user.

The IKAR IKG2B harness features “quick-release” connectors on the leg loops and chest, making fitting extremely easy and hassle free. The harness also offers adjustment in the leg loops, shoulders, and chest to ensure a safe and comfortable fit.
