Shipping & Returns

How will your order be delivered?

All items destined for UK addresses are dispatched by First Class post (Royal Mail), Parcel force or TNT Express. It's not possible to specify exactly which carrier we will use for your order as this is based on our weight and size rulings at the time of order.


All goods will be sent on a signed for service, regardless of postal service used to ship your goods within the UK. 

A signature for goods received is required on all items before they will be left via the mail or courier services. Receipt of a signature at the delivery address for any order will act as proof that the order has been delivered to you. 

If there is no one available at the delivery address to accept delivery of couriered goods, you will be notified of an alternative delivery date or place to collect the goods. We cannot accept responsibility for large goods that are returned to the post office and remain uncollected. 

Delivery of goods to you will be considered to have occurred once the goods are placed with Royal Mail, or any other service we may use. Once goods are considered delivered the responsibility for the goods, risk of damage or loss will pass to you and you shall be responsible for them. 

Goods ordered will be delivered to the address given when the order was placed.

 

How long will my order take to arrive? 

When you place an order online, we will endeavour to have your order delivered within 2 -3 working days (often orders are sent 'next day'). We cannot guarantee this service, as it is not always possible. 'Out of Stock' and 'Special Order' items will take longer. Please call to confirm if the order is time sensitive.

However if goods ordered online are not in free stock, we will advised you of the delivery date and confirm if this is satisfactory. 

If for some reason there is a problem with your order i.e. due to a production lead-time, we will contact you directly by email or by phone at time of purchase to advise you estimated lead-time and take your instruction whether to proceed or not at that time. If you decide not to proceed because of the delay we will give you a full refund. 

We may deliver your items from the same order separately (as they become available in free stock) but will only charge for postage and packing as per the original order at no extra cost to you. SGS is not liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any unavoidable delay in delivery of an order. SGS is not liable for any damage which occurs to an order after a delivery has been made. 

 

How much will my delivery cost?

We have and continue to make our shipping cost to you highly competitive. By carefully selecting varying shipping partners, whilst then providing you with visibility in our shipping costs. Which we hope will demonstrate our commitment to offering you the best service combined with the comfort you’re paying a very fare price in receiving a signed for service on next day. 

To see what price you will pay on your order, please follow these simple few steps: Selected the item you wish to purchase by adding it to your cart (basket). Then select ‘Checkout’ and then our store will calculate the weight combined with our shipping rulings and show you the ‘cost’ to you for carriage.

 

International Orders?

We do not have the option for international orders to be placed through the cart due to international shipping being more complicated than internal shipping. If you require to place an international order, call 0800 678 5708 and one of our friendly customer service staff will process your order over the phone. Alternatively, you can emailcustomerservice@safetygearstore.co.uk, and we will endevour to reply within 2hrs.

 

International Shipping Terms and Conditions:


VAT will be charged on orders within the EU. Please inform us if your company head office is based in a country outside of the EU so we can remove the VAT charges.
Goods will not be shipped until payment has been received. International orders must be paid for via direct bank payment, credit card or cheque payments are not accepted by Safety Gear Store Ltd or Safety Gear Store Ltd's bank. 'Overpayments' will not be returned, but instead be handed over to the authorities for fraud investigation.
It is our policy that on all international deliveries, the goods become the responsibility of the customer once dispatched, and Safety Gear Store Ltd will not be held responsible for goods not reaching their destination, or any additional import duties / taxes / costs ect. Proof of shipping can be supplied if required.
Refunds will not be issued on International Orders. For international orders, goods can only be returned if faulty, and the customer is responsible for the carriage cost of returning the goods, where once inspected, replacement goods will be made available.
You the customer agree that you have assessed the goods and have found them to be fit for purpose and as such no litigious claim can be made against SafetyGearStore for any reason.
By placing an order you are agreeing to these terms of our policy.

 

 

Returns

You sent me the wrong item

As soon as you find out we've sent you an incorrect item, please contact us directly and we will arrange collection from you to sort out the mistake quickly.

We would just ask that the goods must also be in perfect condition (not used) and still in original packaging. You are required to make arrangements with us for return of goods within 30 days, after this period we reserve the right not replace or refund goods.

And if you've grown quite attached to the item and want to keep it, just contact us and we'll recharge or refund the difference whichever is necessary for the cost of the item.

 


I ordered the wrong item and want to return it

No problem. It’s easy, just post it back to us. We would recommend using a postal service that requires a signature on receipt of goods back to us, as we will only replace or refund goods on proof of return.

Goods must also be in perfect condition (not used) and still in original packaging. You are required to return goods within 14 days of reciept, after this period we will not replace or refund goods.

The goods will be subject to a 15% assessment / re-certification fee, as all safety equipment must me thoroughly checked and tested before deemed suitable for resale, even when returned in what appears as unused condition.


*Built / made to order items are only returnable if faulty, to which a replacement will be provided.

*The cost of shipping is non refundable unless the order was incorrect due to a mistake on our behalf.
